A lot of people seem to be under the misconception that you need to have an enormous variety of equipment to exercise at home. This is simply not true. There are a few great tools you can purchase, inexpensively, to equip your “home gym” without having to take out a second mortgage... and without compromising your workout!
Unless you have a serious bodybuilding goal or need to put on an enormous amount of muscle, you can do great things with nothing more than your body. Want a little variety? Well sure, toys are always fun. In rooms other than the gym as well... but I digress...
To increase the number of exercises you can do and add a little interest to your daily exercise routine, add one or any combination of the following:
A pair of dumbbells in the 10-20 pound range (for a woman; 20-30 pounds for a man)
A stability ball
