Best and Worst of Olympic Opening Ceremony Fashion

Who Takes Gold...and who goes home empty-handed?

Of course, we all know that the 2012 London Olympic games are a a two-week athletic competition. But anyone who has ever wondered about Ryan Lochte's infamous $25,000 grill (raises hand!) and anyone who has ever googled to find out who designed Team Canada's Opening Ceremony outfits (The Bay!) can tell you that the olmypics are about so much more than athleticism—they are most definitely about fashion.

Since Friday, I have been glued to my television set watching diving and swimming and volleyball and gymnastics. But I have also been watching to see what the royal family is wearing, what the American women's gymnastics team is wearing, and well, I have been spending an embarrassing amount of time checking out some teeny weeny swimsuits (what...like you never!)

But before we go back and discuss Kate Middleton recycling her J.Brand jeans and Lochte not being allowed to wear the grill during the medal ceremony, we must discuss the opening ceremony outfits—who won and who most definitely lost.

What about you? Who takes home gold in Opening Ceremony Fashion? Who do you send home empty-handed?
