Looking for a new treat this summer when the days are hot? Or maybe you're looking for some healthier treats for the kids? These no-bake treats are satisfying, sweet, and will keep your kitchen cool!
I inherited the original Mars Bars Rice Krispies recipe from a friend years ago. With a few tweaks, I got a really light square that was more economical, easy to eat, produced more than 16 tiny (impossible to cut) little squares, and was not death-by-chocolate. While I don't make this recipe as often as I used to, it's always a crowd pleaser at potlucks and BBQs! And it doesn't use any gooey melted marshmallows to make it, which makes it a total win when it comes to cleaning the kitchen afterwards.
Fudge is still fudge, and this is a rich treat. Still, it's a no-bake, vegan, gluten-free treat; delicious morsels of coconutty goodness with a chocolatey kick. It's so easy to make, and takes so little time to put together. You don't even need to turn on your oven or stove, so bring it on, summer.
I can't make enough of these energy bites! My husband and I love them and eat the entire recipe every time I make them! Before making these energy bites I was unfamiliar with hemp hearts but now I love them for their nutritional value and taste.
Did you know that if you have a lot of cravings for sweet things, you might be low on protein? This recipe is the best of both worlds - and your kids will never believe that there are chickpeas involved. They are also nut-free, so they are perfect for lunch boxes. Best of all, the fibre and protein in the chickpeas make these a very satisfying snack. Now you can eat cookie dough without the guilt - or the stomachache!
The joy of cookie dough without the raw egg or the effort of baking sheet after sheet. Just shove-it-in-my-mouth goodness. Covered in chocolate. Stress eating, here I come!
These ridiculously easy, no-bake coconut balls are vegan and gluten free – plus they’re delicious. And have I mentioned easy? They’re so easy. They even look wintry – perfect!
These vegan, gluten-free cookies are so simple and can be prepared in ten minutes flat. There's only one problem—they are terribly addictive! I bet you can't eat just one.
Make a batch of oat bars in 15 minutes and you’ll have the perfect after school snack. To make them safe for school simply leave out the pistachios. We ran into a problem with ours because I let family and friends taste them, and then I had to taste them a few times, so my kids are out of luck come snack time today.
Did you know that avocado and coconut milk are both great for your skin and hair? Put them together with all that Vitamin C, and it's practically a beauty crime NOT to make this frozen strawberry daiquiri pie! It takes a little planning but is so easy to throw together, you'll want to make this all the time. This dessert will make you feel beautiful, and glow from the inside out.
I use avocados often in savoury dishes, but did you know that they are a wonderful base for many sweet desserts, as well? These individual avocado key lime pies are sweet and creamy, and eating them may just give you the beautiful skin and shiny hair you've always dreamed of! Delicious AND good for you? I cannot think of more compelling reasons to indulge in a dessert.
This chocolate chia pudding is nutritious and delicious; chia is rich in Omega-3s, fibre, potassium, calcium, and iron. Since I can't help myself, I blended spinach leaves into the pudding for a little extra nutrition - and it was completely undetectable!
