Reader Question: My Hubby's A Snacker

Yummy Mummy Jenna in Cambridge asks:

How can I get my husband to stop snacking at 3 a.m.?  He snacks on mostly chips and sweets.  Maybe the food I am making is not keeping him full....

Dear Jenna|

You are a beautiful person like many of the others who write in on behalf of their husbands. We care| we try| we counsel| we cook and...I have found that feeding ones husband a minimum of 2 cups of kale daily will cause him to rise from his bed at 3 am and take out the garbage. No? Do the laundry?

Truly there is nothing you can do for other peoples children of any age. He likely developed this habit well before you and will carry it out with or without your help. If you are honestly determined to help him out| be sure there is always a veggie platter with a yogurt based dip placed front and centre in the fridge. Add a few olives and pickles for their salty oomph. The first thing seen will be the first thing taken| we are all lazy and like nothing more than to have smart things done for us. For that matter| if this is the first thing you or your kids see| the whole family may indulge.

Good Luck!
