Why Do You Use Triberr?

Can Someone Explain It To Me Because I Just Don't Get It

I'm just going to put it out there....I don't get Triberr.

If you don't know what Triberr is, here's how it is described on the Triberr website:

"Triberr is a social network for bloggers. The idea is to find other bloggers who write about the same topics. These writers group up in a tribe. Whenever one blogger writes a post, the others read, comment and share it with their social networks. Triberr does all the heavy lifting of importing everyone's latest content, aggregrating it in an easy to ready news feed, and scheduiling sharing throught the day."

(For the record, the typos in that paragraph are not mine, I copied it directly from Triberr.)

In theory Triberr sounds good, right? After reading that paragraph (typos aside) I would sign up because it seems it would help me connect with like-minded bloggers and share content.

But today is February 19th and this morning I saw an automated tweet from someone who uses Tribber directing to a post about Valentine's Day.

*insert confused face here*

It's four days past Valentine's Day, yet a post about the big V-day is still being automatically being tweeted out. I've seen this countless times over the past year where date-specific posts are being automatically tweeted out past the date, including contests. I've seen automated Triberr tweets being sent out at 2, 3, 4, and 5:00 am when that person is clearly not online.

Everyone uses social media in their own way and this is not me putting down any one person's way of doing it. I'm genuinely curious and want to hear what people have to say.

So, here goes....if you use Triberr, why? Has it helped you in your social media? Do you read every post before you schedule it to go out? Do you feel there's a downside to it?

If you're into social media you'll also want to make use of #YMC411.
