Songs For A Vasectomy

Take Two

by: Consuelo Bernardi

So, apparently March is the month for vasectomies.

Really. I've heard more about vasectomies in the last few weeks than I have all year. With that said, I've had friends, YMC readers, and Twitter followers ask me about the Songs for A Vasectomy playlist I did two years ago.

So, here's a re-post of that blog I did on June 10, 2010. Because every event in life needs a playlist. Power to the bag of frozen peas.

For Those Days When You Need A Song With A Romantic Vibe

by: Consuelo Bernardi

I discovered this track back in the Spring and I've been obsessed with it ever since...and finally it's made its overdue way to radio.

For those days where you just need an awesome song with a romantic vibe.

It's SO so so good.

Did I mention I was kinda obsessed with this song?

Country Singer Dallas Smith

A Successful Transition

by: Consuelo Bernardi

To Dallas Smith, country music has always been about the special combination of a voice and a song. After spending nearly 10 years fronting the Canadian rock band, Default, Smith is stepping out on his own, into the world of all things Country.

While in Nashville, Dallas worked with acclaimed songwriter/producer Zac Maloy (Carrie Underwood, James Blunt), Grammy nominated songwriter Rodney Clawson, and Chris Tompkins (Carrie Underwood).

I have a new favourite website thanks to an email I received this week from Jane Chapman.

I will never listen to music the same way again…without wondering what drink would go well with my song of choice. What better to kick off the weekend?

The Face, The Voice, The Blog!

Consuelo Bernardi is a 30-something mummy of two. She can't play an instrument or sing a tune in key but is still obsessed with music. After a five year hiatus from the radio business she's back on the air doing weekends on Majic 100, Today's Soft Rock in Ottawa.

Still she always found the time to listen to music and make it a huge part of her life. She has more CDs than she cares to count and her monthly downloading bill for her iPod? Don’t even go there. Music truly is food for her soul. Plus secretly she’s always wanted to be a wannabe rock star...a girl can dream.

So take a minute from your day and crank up the volume. Motherhood isn't always pretty but at least your music will be hot.
