That innocent video you just posted of your child might not be so innocent, after all. A Texas mom was shocked to learn that the cute footage of her child dancing in his diaper ended up on a private YouTube channel full of nude children.
We all do it, or at least we all did. YouTube and Facebook are staples when it comes to keeping friends and family abreast of your child's magical moments. Especially for loved ones who live far away.
But mom Kelli Clark is warning that we should think twice, because you never know where those photos or videos may wind up.
Her son's video went from 50 to 3,000 hits. Next thing Clark knew, a woman from Sweden informed her that the video was on a pornographic list.
"I went to look and I was totally shocked," said Clark. "From then, I called the FBI and they couldn't really do anything about it because they weren't actually his videos. They were other people's videos that he had actually just collected."
Moral of the story: be extra vigilant when uploading photos and videos on social media sites, setting the required privacy settings to limit users to family and friends. YouTube states that videos set to private "don't appear in a channel, search results or playlists."

Social workers are rallying to remove a baby from his disabled parents. The Mississauga, Ontario couple has cerebral palsy, a condition which compromises their motor skills and slurs their speech. Unless they receive round-the-clock care from an “able-bodied attendant,” the Peel Children's Aid Society (CAS) has threatened to remove their one-month-old son.
Like any new parents, Maricyl Palisoc and Charles Wilton admit that they need some help but do not want to lose their baby at any cost.
"From what I’ve seen when I’ve been at the apartment…there’s really nothing that [Maricyl's] unable to do," said Ryan Machete, a spokesperson for the Coalition for Persons with Disabilities.
Thanks to the Coalition, the couple has been receiving assistance since baby William's birth. Still, Machete isn't convinced that a caregiver costing $2,000 a week is necessary when Palisoc is fully able to change diapers, breastfeed, and care for her newborn.
That said, as William grows, the physical requirements may change. The CAS is due to meet with the couple to discuss the current arrangement.
Are disabled couples fit to be parents if their physical abilities are compromised? Is it right for them to receive funding for caregivers to perform basic parenting skills?
And speaking of multiple births... No one tops Nadya Suleman, the current record holder with octuplets and six more besides.
But the mother of 14 is having a tough time feeding all those mouths. Her home was repossessed, she declared bankruptcy, and social workers recently paid her a visit, following reports that her California home was filthy and unfit.
Now Suleman, fearing for her brood's future welfare, has stumbled upon a money-making scheme: porn. After appearing topless in a British magazine for the tidy sum of $8,000, clearly a light bulb went off for the 36 year old.
Suleman is adamant, however, about her boundaries.
"I wouldn't even kiss somebody for money," she said during an interview with HLN 'Showbiz Tonight.' "I would not kiss somebody. I wouldn't touch somebody."
"But I have to do what is best for my children and I need a fresh start," Suleman said in the midst of a flurry of potty training and discipline (a time out rug, in case you're interested) none of us can possibly imagine. "It's nonstop," she said, ordering her children to "stand in line to go pee."
Although Suleman, who receives $2,000 a month in Food Stamps, turned down an adult film company's offer to pay off her mortgage two years ago, she's open to doing business now.
"You know, if the opportunity comes up, I'll be the first to admit I'm gonna eat my words, because all that matters is that I can take care of my family," she said.
