A few years ago, Wesley Snipes was sent to jail for tax evasion, and at that time, I had no idea how that could even happen. I truly don't understand how someone can be so insane as to not pay their taxes, or be so greedy as to screw over people/the government, but here we are again. Real Housewife Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe turned themselves in on 39 charges of fraud including defrauding lenders, falsifying documents to obtain mortgages and hiding money during their bankruptcy case.
In OMG this is adorable news, a family from Ireland was on a star tour recently, and when their bus stopped outside Aaron Paul's house, he came down to chat with them. Apparently, he does this all the time. The McNeive family's dad filmed it all and posted it on YouTube for us to all enjoy:

News came last week that Jenny McCarthy was to be one of the replacement co-hosts for ABC's The View, in light of the departures of Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and the retirement of the show's creator and executive producer, Barbara Walters. The Prime Time Emmy Award nominations were announced on Thursday, and one major show's nomination means big things for how we consume episodic television. Netflix original series, House of Cards was nominated for best drama and people (myself included) are surprised (Jason Bateman is also nominated for Best Actor, Comedy for the now-Netflix produced Arrested Development). Why are we surprised? Because Netflix is not television. It's an online platform that we can watch on our televisions, but it's not a network.
As we all woke up Sunday, we learned of the tragic news of Glee star Cory Monteith's death in a Vancouver hotel. We all swirled towards the initial thought: drugs and alcohol. The actor had been very open in the past with his struggles with addiction, but maintained a sober lifestyle and by all accounts, was one of the kindest, hardest working young people in Hollywood. Earlier this week, a single (and wonderful) friend posted a Facebook update because she was recently found out that unless she was with a child, she would be unable to enter the new Legoland Discovery Centre. The park says that they host an adults only night once a month and that single adults should come then. This raised the ire of a number of people and started an intense discussion on her post.
My parents divorced when I was around 8 years old. It was tough on us and I don't think my mum gave my dad a fair shake all the time, especially in things she said to us about him. But nothing Nigella Lawson can say will be bad enough for her PoS soon to be ex husband, Charles Saatchi. Luckily, her kids are hers from her first marriage, so this awful man cannot get anywhere near them in future.
June seems to have been the month of babies here at YMC (and in my life — my baby brother and his wife just had their first baby, too!). Although my birth story wasn't so harrowing (did you see the craziness Sarah Remmer was dealing with while giving birth to her daughter?), it was definitely something.
