It finally feels like summer has arrived and that means it’s time to break out the patio furniture, fire up the barbeque, and invite a few friends over. Since you’ve been getting to know me over the last few months you know I’m hardly the kind of person who is going to spend her time mixing individual drinks for each and every one of you. I’d rather spend my time visiting and well enjoying a beverage myself. This is why I’ve come to perfect the pitcher drink, and as my warm weather gift to all of you, I’ve compiled a list of my top five pitcher drinks in five ingredients or less!
This recipe made me the hit of the neighbourhood when I perfected it over the summer of hanging out in the backyards of some amazing ladies while our children ran through sprinklers, played on swing sets and roasted marshmallows over fire pits. All I had to do was post a picture of these on my Facebook page and the doorbell would start ringing.
2 cans limeade, defrosted
1 jug club soda
500ml. white rum
10 fresh mint leaves
Put mint leaves in pitcher and muddle gently with wooden spoon. Add limeade and white rum then top with club soda. Stir and serve over ice.
My friends all know that I am not much of a white wine drinker but when mixed with all this yummy goodness it’s a perfect afternoon beverage.
1 bottle white wine
1 cup peach schnapps
½ can frozen lemonade
6-10 strawberries hulled and sliced thinly
½ can peaches sliced thinly
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and chill for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight.

13 oz Vodka (rum or gin—pick your poison)
1L tropical juice blend
1L blueberry juice
1 750ml bottle of sparkling wine
2 cups mixed fresh fruit of choice (raspberries, grapes, oranges, strawberries, etc...)
Add all ingredients (except for sparkling wine) to a large pitcher (or punch bowl). This punch can be made up the night before to really let the flavours blend. Add the sparkling wine just before your guests arrive, or if the party is not too large, you can add as “you serve” for optimum BUBBLES!
Tip: Instead of fresh fruit, use frozen fruit and add about 30 minutes before party, this will keep your punch cold and not water it down.

This pitcher drink is the epitome of easy and always a crowd pleaser. As a bonus, these three ingredients can be kept as a summer staple in your kitchen and mixed together quickly for those impromptu barbeques.
4 cups Oasis Exotic Tropical Passion juice
2 oz. lime juice
2 bottles of Corona
Mix all ingredients in a large pitcher, serve over ice and garnish with lime and/or orange skewers.
