This weekend was The Oscars. In the aftermath of the show, people complained about winner Lupita Nyong'o's blackness and thinness, about Kim Novak's face and about all sorts of other ridiculous, superficial things. Even I was shocked by Novak's look on Sunday night, as she seems to have been plastic surgeried to within an inch of her life.
Jennifer Lawrence was this year's winner for Best Actress at the Oscars, and whether you loved or hated her performance (or the movie), you have to admit that her happiness is contagious. Though many of us probably know her from her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, this wasn't J-Law's first nomination with the Academy.
So, as you're all aware, The Academy Awards are airing this Sunday and YMC will be along for the ride! I'll be firing up my fondue pot and using the hashtag #YMCOscars (@kitten_arms) all night starting at around 6pm EST for all the Red Carpet hijinks and then on with the show! But who will win?
For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you know that the Armstrong family has been on lockdown for oh, five days. Probable Norwalk virus, me almost being admitted to hospital due to Norwalk and pregnancy. You know, usual stuff (aka the worst). But, the show has gone on without me and so much has happened. I want to catch you up on a few things that you may have missed and one that you really shouldn't this week. Everything from the SAG Awards, to Chris Brown at it again.
As the year is drawing to a close FAR FASTER than I even anticipated, I thought we could take a moment and talk about some of the crazy stuff that happened this year.
