My latest favourite timewaster on my iPhone* and Facebook is SongPop.
Think Jeopardy but in musical notes.
It's a song clip challenge game where you compete against friends and see who can guess the song in the shortest amount of time. There are a ton of playlists (and thousands of songs) to choose from...ranging from current hits, modern rap, classic '70s, the '80s, cover songs, musicals and classic country. The bonus is that you can continue the games on either Facebook or your iPhone.
Bottom line to win: you need a quick trigger finger and the inability not to cave under musical pressure.
And I suck at it! For someone who lives and breathes music and works in commercial radio....I hang my head in shame.
I hate losing (and cue the constant game losses to my friend @slypigjeff) and I have a full on curse out session when I do.
It's addictive and ridiculously fun and if from this day forward I never write another blog post again, you'll know why...I'm in the corner, rocking back in forth in the fetal position, repeating 'how did I not get that song....I've only heard a kazillion times...how...how did I get it wrong?'
