The first day of school is right around the corner, and many of us are faced with the seemingly daunting task of packing healthy lunches every day for our kids. Because this seems to be a common source of anxiety for moms everywhere, I thought I'd create a list of kid-friendly lunch-box staples that have my dietitian's stamp of approval.

I'm always on the look out for healthier baking recipes because admittedly, I love things like muffins and scones and cookies—who doesn't though?! Although I've tried many recipes over the years, no other muffin recipe has measured up to this one. This recipe is a combination of my Grandma's Bran Dried Fruit Muffins and my Mom's Banana Muffins.
