A to Z of Taming Tantrums: K is for OK!

Did you know that this simple little word can be counterproductive for kids?

A to Z of Taming Tantrums | YummyMummyClub.ca

Hi! Andrea Nair here. Welcome back to the A to Z of Taming Tantrums. This episode is about the letter K, and K is for OK.

Routine "jobs" (chores) help increase cooperation. Here's how...

A to Z of Taming Tantrums | YummyMummyClub.ca

Hi! Welcome back to the A to Z of Taming Tantrums video series. This week I'll be discussing the letter J, and J is for Jobs.

G is for Gratitude - A to Z of Taming Tantrums

Hi! Welcome to the next video in our A to Z of Taming Tantrums series. Today’s letter is G, and G is for gratitude. You might be wondering how gratitude and reducing tantrums are linked—they certainly are!

This Is Why Your Family Needs the Flu Shot or Nasal Spray

What you need to know about getting the flu vaccine

This Is Why your Family Needs the Flu Shot

My husband, a family physician, is faced with the same question each year from many of his patients:

Should I get a flu shot?

The answer to this question may seem a bit complicated when you look at the science behind whether or not the flu vaccine is effective. But at the end of examining the data, the short answer to that question is, YES.

How You Can Help Reduce Your Kids' Immunization Pain

As parents, you will likely agree that taking your kids for their vaccinations can be a very stressful experience. For me, despite my stress, my guys did okay but the anticipation of shrieking cries made me sweat with fear! The A.L.I.V.E. Tanks: The Key To Connecting With Kids - Deepen connections by filling our kid's buckets | Parenting | Taming Tantrums | Andrea Nair | YummyMummyClub.ca

The Scariest Moment of My Parenting Life

Because You Can't think of everything

scary moments in parenting
I had my scariest moment as a parent last night.

I went into my boy’s room (they prefer to sleep in the same room) just before going to sleep as I usually do to open windows or adjust the fan. In the dark, I looked to where each of them usually are, but couldn’t see them. I gingerly pulled back each duvet cover to discover two empty beds.
