Summer guilty pleasures anyone? Was going through my iPod and came across these tracks...
Yup even I downloaded these tracks.
Sigh.
Award winning Canadian children's entertainers (and stars of Treehouse TV), Splash'N Boots, along with leading Ottawa-based conservationist, Little Ray (director of Eastern Ontario's largest exotic animal rescue, Little Ray's Reptile Zoo), have teamed up to bring you a brand new album, “Keeping It Green”!
The album is dedicated to conservation and features 10 original Splash'N Boots songs that will keep kids dancing, all while educating listeners about a variety of endangered species found across Canada.
The album is available at Little Ray's Reptile Zoo locations across Canada and at www.splashnboots.com.
A portion of all proceeds from “Keepin' It Green” will help support conservation initiatives in your community.
“We are so excited about this collaboration with Little Ray,” says Nick (the group's 'Splash'). “Conservation is an important topic today, so we are happy to help educate our fans through our music.”
Based in Ottawa, ON, and founded in 1995 by husband and wife team Sheri and Paul Goulet, along with the addition of the zoo’s curator, Matthew Korhonen, in 2000, Little Ray's Reptile Zoo is proud to have the largest and most diverse animal education outreach program the country has to offer. Annually, they tour coast to coast, from Newfoundland to British Columbia, presenting and performing at museums, fairs, festivals, schools, and more.

“The classically-trained Barry has a pure and ethereal voice (Enya is a reference point) that frames emotionally eloquent compositions that dig deep lyrically and feature adventurous arrangements.” ~Kerry Doole, New Canadian Music
Earlier this year Toronto indie singer/songwriter Monique Barry released her 4th album, called 'Wake', and she's off to a great start, with her track 'Forgive Me' being added to the in-store playlist at Chapters/Indigo stores across Canada.
If you're looking to an alternative to the usual top 40 offerings and are in the mood for something different, dreamscape-like, trance and ambient, this is an album worth checking out.
