Yes hard to believe but Mr. Marshall Bruce Mathers III turned 40 this week.
Seems like yesterday he burst onto the music scene and was offending everyone with his in your face rapid fire lyrics. But Eminem proved he had the goods and the staying power.
The first white rapper since the Beastie Boys, to receive accolades and respect from fans and critics alike for his insane rapping skills...he was fluid and unpredictable...was soon hailed as one of the greatest MCs (and you can throw in record producer and songwriter) of his generation. Rapping it seemed came as naturally to Mr. Mathers as breathing was.
