One of the inevitable "parenthood life changes" manifests quite suddenly. You'll be barely paying attention and suddenly you'll yell, "CLOSE THE DOOR! Were you raised in a barn?" And you'll realize that that thing you've promised yourself would never happen already has happened. You've become your mom and dad, and you're saying the things you swore you'd never say when you became a parent.
It's only a short hop from this point to yelling "GET OFF MY LAWN!"
