RECALL: Glatt's Beef Frankfurters

Possible Listeria Contamination

Glatt's-brand Beef Frankfurters Jumbo BBQ have been recalled because they may be contaminated with listeria.

Sold in 375 gram packages with the UPC 0 55627 00203 6 and a best before date of April 21, 2012, the hotdogs were distributed in Ontario and Quebec.

Although there have been no reported illnesses, Montreal-based Glatt's Kosher Meat Products has voluntarily recalling the product which it warned would not necessarily look or smell spoiled.  Customers who've purchased the 'furters should dispose of them immediately.

Food contaminated with Listeria can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea.
