Corey Feldman, mega star of 80s movies The Goonies, Stand By Me and The Lost Boys, has not only dished about the fact that he was sexually "preyed upon" as a young actor, the 40-year-old plans to write a tell-all, exposing two Hollywood pedophiles.
"When I was 14 and 15 things were happening to me. These older men were leching around like vultures," he told The UK Sun. "It was basically me laying there pretending I was asleep and them going about their business."
Following the fatal drug overdose of his longtime friend and reality TV co-star, Canadian Corey Haim, who was also abused as a child star, Feldman decided to come forward.
"There are people who have got away with it for so long they think they are above the law—that's got to stop."
Feldman, who was also plagued by drug addiction, insists he has been clean for 20 years. Yet he accused Hollywood for deliberately snubbing Haim at the 2011 Oscars, and treating the Coreys as scapegoats.
"What? Because [Haim] did drugs in his life? Who cares? Everybody does drugs. How selfish and narrow minded."
Feldman's declaration on US TV last summer prompted an 18-year-old former child actor to admit he was abused by talent agent Martin Weiss. Though Feldman claims he wasn't abused by Weiss, he is helping police in connection with the case, no doubt because of his connections within the industry.
His desire to come forward now, he says, is about protecting his seven-year-old son. "When you open a can of worms people are going to be in fear and they are going to want to take revenge. So you have to be careful. I look for the safety of my child. I don't really care about me. I've lived a decent life so if anything happened to me..."
Kudos to Feldman. Looks like the Frog brother is still searching for truth, justice, and the American way.
