RECALL: "Bugaboo Bee" Stroller

Fall Hazard

Joint Recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC), and Bugaboo Americas.

This recall involves the "Bugaboo Bee" stroller for newborns and toddlers up to 17 kg (37.5 lbs) with the serial numbers ranging from 160101110100051 to 160101113801999. While the stroller is in motion, the front swivel wheels may suddenly lock up, causing the stroller to topple and possible fall to the infant/toddler.

Although Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries, four incidents have been reported in the U.S. where the stroller's swivel wheels locked and the stroller tipped over, causing minor injuries.

Customers are advised to stop using the recalled strollers and contact the place of purchase, or Bugaboo directly, for a swivel wheel replacement.

For more information, customers may contact Bugaboo by phone at 1-800-460-2922 or by email or by visiting Bugaboo's website.

From February 2011 to September 2011, approximately 257 units of the recalled strollers were sold in Canada, and approximately 7,000 in the U.S.
