Wooden play sets with swings, slides and ladders manufactured by Adventure Playsets have been recalled due to a potential fall hazard caused from rotting wood in the posts of the fort sections.
The following models are affected:
- Tacoma or Tacoma Model: II 1-AP017 (2005-2007)
- Durango or Durango Model: II 1-AP016 (2005-2007)
- Sedona Model: 1-AP002 (2004)
- Yukon Model: 1-AP052-07 (2007)
In conjunction with Health Canada, Adventure Playsets is voluntarily recalling these wooden play sets after one reported fall in the United States. In Canada, the recalled products were sold between 2004 to 2007 by Wal-Mart and potentially other retailers.
Consumers are advised to stop using the swing sets immediately and contact Adventure Playsets to obtain a free repair kit which includes the appropriate angled or vertical upright posts for each model, with instructions for dissembling and reassembling each set.
