After an unattended six-month old baby died in 2004, the the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled several models of strollers. When the harness is not used, a child can slip inside the stroller and become trapped under the tray.

Although the recalled strollers currently meet Canadian safety regulations, and there have been no reported incidents or injuries, customers are advised to contact the manufacturer for a free retrofit kit.

For further information, customers may contact Peg Perego Canada Inc. Customer Service Line at 1-800-661-5050 or through their  website.

From March 2004 to December 2009, approximately 26,000 of the recalled strollers were sold at various retailers across Canada.
