Singer Etta James has passed away at the age of 73 due to complications of her leukemia.

Etta James had one of those powerhouse voices that bridged the gap between so many musical genres—she was a part blues, rhythm and blues, part rock and roll, soul, part gospel and jazz.

American Idol Is Back!

Savannah Auditions: Phillip Phillips

So loved this audition on American Idol last night.

Phillip Phillips sounds like a little Dave Matthews meets Ray LaMontagne meets John Mayer.

The Winter Summer Playlist

Dreaming of Summer in January

I wasn't planning on making my summer music playlists until the middle of June but...

For as long as our friendship has existed, we’ve always tried to one up each other on music finds. Needless to say, he won the latest round. But his find was so good that I didn’t care that I lost.

The band? Robert Randolph & The Family Band.

Spotlight: Rebecca Raabis

Canada's Next Big Thing?

"I want to help people who think they are stuck in life and can't make it better, to keep it moving. I want to be someone's rock and safe place when everything falls apart." ~Rebecca Raabis

This up and coming independent singer/songwriter is about to prove that dreams really can come true.

For most people the start of the New Year means making resolutions (which, for the record, will probably be broken by the first week of January).

But for me it's all about taking the time and carefully reviewing and revising my Top 5 Laminated List...aka the 'freebie' list.

Because as Ross on Friends so eloquently stated "Ah, the heart of every healthy relationship: Honesty, respect, and sex with celebrities."

Priorities people...it's all about priorities and playing the odds.
