How the Good Lovelies (Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore) got together is a bit of a mystery: Sue remembers meeting her band mates during a limbo competition, Caroline thinks they met at a chess tournament, but Kerri is convinced they first crossed paths during a bar fight...

I could have done without the multiple birthing shots in the video (I won't be looking at egg whites for a while) but I digress.
And at the end there is a close-up shot of Lady Gaga face with that Madonna-esque gap in between her teeth, an homage to the Material Girl? Perhaps. I mean everyone IS comparing the song to Madonna's 'Express Yourself'.
After spending the last few years writing, co-writing, raising a baby into a toddler and being inspired by her surroundings in Main Street neighbourhood in Vancouver, Jennifer Hershman wound up making a record of her very own with producer Joe Cruz, “It came about quite organically, actually, which is the essence of how we wanted to capture the songs on the EP, Joe was quite taken by the songs that I had demo-d, and thought we could string them to life with a talented band”.
