I am going to appreciate MORE. I sweat the small stuff. I hurry. I expect others to hurry. And I realized I need to stop. And appreciate. Because it means something.
"C'mon let's go?!" I said in frustration.
"What's the rush?" replied my dear daughter (age 9 and wise beyond her years).
Why am I rushing? I rush to get the kids breakfast. Rush to get them to the park. Rush them from the park to home so they can eat lunch. What's the friggin' rush Caroline?!
I need to stop. Appreciate.
What's the rush right?
Last week, during nap time, I sent Erica a little email of appreciation (she probably thought I was off my rocker)...but I truly wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her...as a friend...role model...Mom. Don't you think you should tell a Mom you appreciate her? Couldn't that be a day-changer? I know it would for me.
A Mom's life can be very rushed—balancing work, kids, dinner and dishes. It's time to step back and prioritize what you value most.
Because there is no need to rush through a good life. My goal is to appreciate more.
