When Kids Lie: What Do You Do?

I caught my daughter in a lie. Has all innocence been shattered?!

Shocker: I caught my daughter in a lie. Has all innocence been shattered?! We raise our kids to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth...but somewhere along the way (probably from us)...they learn how to lie. We all lie sometimes (tell the truth!) so why is it so surprising when a kid lies? My daughter's lie feels a lot like my fault.

What was this shocker lie you ask? That she ate lunch yesterday.

As parents, we tell our kids to play nice together.  If you don't have anything nice to say - don't say it.  Recently, another mom criticized something I said behind my back...and here I thought...put-downs were just in playgrounds.

Aren't we all in this together?!  Aren't we all just "real moms" trying our best to "keep it real"?  Is it right to get up in the morning...put on your Miss. Judgy Pants...and walk the street?  (you too can find Miss. Judgy Pants - in the clothing section next to Ms. Smart Ass Undies).

Ask and you shall receive - HELP that is.

What works and what doesn't for new moms

So you might have wondered if I crawled under a rock since posting my Baby Blues confessional last week.  Actually, I crawled into my social network.  Once word spread that I was having some challenges with new baby, big kids and balancing life the tweeps, peeps and friends stepped up.

First off, thanks for all the supportive comments to that post.  Also, the How are you doing today? tweets I am still getting.  It takes a few minutes for you - but absolutely makes a new mom's day reading she is not alone in the world.  Thank you guys!
