Dawn is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Author and Mom. She loves to help parents dive into the world of healthy eating. It's a tough job trying to raise healthy kids and she knows first hand how hard it can be, having four kids of her own. Dawn is the creator of the "Real Food Makeover Program" where she takes parents on a six week journey towards eating well, without all the processed food.
Dawn's blog is a judgement free zone where busy parents can get the support and help they need for free. She believes every kid deserves to be healthy and to have access to a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. She is also a supporter of the local school breakfast program and Food for Learning (healthy school snacks program).
Dawn also manages a group for busy parents "Raising Healthy Kids" where parents can ask questions, get advice and support about family nutrition.
About my kids:
I have three big boys, a little girl and a fur kid. My kids are all active and the boys play hockey, baseball, snowmobile, four-wheel and hunt. There's a steady stream of activity! My daughter loves horse back riding and gymnastics. We do need to juggle a lot of things to make it all work but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Parenting is...:
Crazy, fun, stressfull, hard, messy - not fun, still crazy and messy, but a blessing! I love being a parent!
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
When I do have a minute to myself, I make it count and it's all about ME! It's spent running, cooking, reading, yoga... anything to clear my mind of all the clutter and lets me breathe. No kids, no dog and no hubby!
When are you at your yummiest?:
When I am working under pressure to host, cook and entertain a houseful of people. The house can be a disaster and I can bring it all front and centre before the guests arrive! Dinner in the oven, toilets cleaned and music on. Never let them see you sweat.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what would be the title?:
She's Not Perfect But She's Real!
What's currently in your purse?:
Wallet, 5 lip balm, keys, kids pictures, kids birth certificates, Barbie shoes, hockey tape, gum, hand sanitizer, cashews and kleenex.
What superhero power would you like to have?:
I would love to be invisible and find out which boy leaves the toilet paper roll empty or drinks the last cup of milk and leaves a teaspoon in the bag so he doesnt have to change it!
If we gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?:
Oh boy, I would hide him in the laundry room! I am betting he would be pretty safe in there, nobody ventures in but me!!
Do you have a blog or website? :
