I am the mom to 3 boys & 1 girl. Together with my husband of 18 years, we lead a crazy awesome church in Kitchener, Ontario.
After being teased in High School for being a "Social Butterfly" and told it wouldn’t take me very far in life, I fell into the serious world of banking. At the end of 17 years of feeling stuck... in the fall of 2007 I packed up my business suits & sensible shoes to be a stay-at-home mom.
I started blogging in 2006 and as the late-bloomer that I am, I didn’t join Facebook until 2007. I “dabbled” in social media enough to cause some people to worry about my growing addiction.
Blogging went from hobby to a passion to a career in 2009 when a marketing company took notice and snatched me up to lead their Social Media Marketing department.
My Chrysalis moment came in 2010 when I decided to dive into the Twitter-craze — suddenly my Social Butterfly was again unleashed.
In 2013 my business partner and I took over Canada's premier Social Media / Blogging conference, BlissDom Canada.
To the High School teacher who didn't see my potential, I just have one thing to say…. How do you like me now?!
About my kids:
I seriously have the BEST kids ever! They are all super compassionate human beings and generous beyond comprehension.
My oldest will be 16 this year, after graduation he is planning on going into Aerospace Engineering, hoping to attend Technion in Israel.
My only daughter turned 14 this year, she is a straight A student, on the honour roll, and an athlete, she was awarded MVP from her club volleyball team. She's looking forward to entering high school in the fall.
My younger two are coming into their own as far as being athletes and in academia. At 11 and 8 years of age, they are outstanding little people. They bring smiles to everyone who meets them. They say things that melt my heart each and every day!
Parenting is...:
hard work but worth every tear, sleepless night and grey hair!
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
I love to shop, drink coffee, travel, volunteer and I am consistently work on my photography skills.

I guess I never got over the diaper bag years... only massively filled ginormous bags for me! I would win every bridal shower game, hands down! You'll find everything from chap-stick to nail clippers, receipts from the last full calendar year to mail I should have opened 3 weeks ago!
What superhero power would you like to have?:
As a mom of teens... better ESP would be nice!
If we gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?:
On my front lawn, what better way to get the neighbours attention!
