Wendy (also known as mapsgirl) is a mom to two daughters, ages 16 and 14. They are the inspiration of her blog, mapsgirl.ca, and the reason she became a Car Seat Technician. Child passenger safety is a passion of Wendy's. For 14 years, Wendy had the opportunity to work with several Ontario police services and EMS teams, helping parents understand the importance of car seat safety. Volunteering in her community and with the girls' schools happens when she's not working full time as a cartographer (she draws maps) for a municipality.
About my kids:
Rachel (16) strives to be an Electrical Engineer and Lauren (14) loves drawing and playing volleyball! Both enjoy music and spend many hours singing and playing their instruments together -- flutes, guitars (acoustic and electric), and ukulele!
Parenting is...:
awesome!! Sure there are ups and downs, but watching my girls grow, learn and become active people in their world is awesome!
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
When I'm not working or sharing on social media, I enjoy time with my family and volunteering in my community -- at church and at school.

How to live life and enjoy the ride!
What's currently in your purse?:
A few cards, ID and keys. I like to keep it simple!
What superhero power would you like to have?:
Snap my fingers and laundry/dishes/cleaning gets done!

Behind the pile of stuff in my basement. It really needs to be organized.
