Katharine Holmes the mom of a precocious school-age son (who loves anything Indiana Jones and Star Wars, and makes trapdoors in Lego), a graphic designer, and she has a knack for knowing useless information (her husband refuses to watch Jeopardy with her).
MomGyver.ca was started as the result of a conversation on Twitter. One of the women Katharine follows (@YMC_BC) used the word “MomGyver” while talking about fixing her washing machine in a rather “MacGyver-ish” way. Katharine had done a similar thing, fixing her washing machine using duct tape (no gum, paperclips, or dental floss were required).
