Author Profile:

Lori Gard is a teacher, mother to four children, wife to her husband Brian, community volunteer and expert in multi-tasking, all of which can be combined simultaneously in any random order in her current passion, blogging. She has found each facet of her life to provide endless writing material for her personal blog, http://pursuitofajoyfullife.wordpress.com. Lori was born and raised in the Maritimes, and has lived “up West” in P.E.I., Canada since graduating with a degree in Education from the Island’s only university in 1999. Although she will never be a born and bred Islander, she still tries to embrace life the Island way.

About my kids:
Fearless Foursome: Sam(boy), age 12, Maggie age 10, Sarah, age 8 and MaryAnne, age 5. They have given me most of the grey hairs on my head, minus the first three or four I got studying for finals in university. They are also food for fodder for much of my writing. If not for them, my life would be very boring indeed.
Parenting is...:
...an up-hill battle. A ride. A journey. A joy on some days and a strain on others. It's the best of times and the worst of times. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
Pretend I am organized. However. What I don't do in my spare time is write lists. So I am actually never organized. But who needs organization when one can live life on a wing and a prayer. Oh. And I also like to write, read, coach gymnastics, play the piano and sing.
When are you at your yummiest?:
In the evenings, after the kids have been fed.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what would be the title?:
Off G(u)ard
What's currently in your purse?:
Everything. Just ditched a few apples last night. What is not in my purse is the problem. I've currently lost both my VISA and my debit card. But I digress...
What superhero power would you like to have?:
Flying
If we gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?:
My husband's closet, under the dust bunnies. Yes. There are that many.
