Secrets from the Runway

How to Tame those Nasty Lumps and Bumps

Ah| spring is in the air. It is now the dreaded time of year when it becomes difficult to hide those lumps and bumps we've been burying under our big sweaters. What's a girl to do? Relax. I love my curves. Some days I just like to redistribute them a l'il bit and that is perfectly fine! Here are a few fabulous finds I discovered through my modelling career:

Dream Jeans
If you haven't heard of the Curvetech jeans from Mark's Work Wearhouse| you don't know what you are missing. When I found these jeans| well| I'll be honest| I did a little happy dance. Ready for this? The chain carries Tummy Control and Butt Lifter jeans! And they work! And even better still| the designs go up to sizes 18-20. These jeans smooth out all necessary areas and all the helpful lifting and controlling is done in a way that does not detract from their cool factor. I have worn them several times for TV appearances and feel super styling and confident every time. You can also find pants with both features. Really. Run| don't walk to try on a pair!

Push 'em up!
I laugh when a celebrity makes an appearance in a plunging neckline sporting great cleavage and creates a media buzz regarding whether or not her breasts have been enhanced. Obviously these people do not know the power of a Victoria Secret push-up bra! These bras can literally transform any woman's shape. I have modelled countless bras in my career and have had stylists put everything in there - including the kitchen sink - in order for the shot and my| ahem| cleavage to look great. I know bras. This is Victoria's secret: she knows how to create bras that celebrate a woman's assets with some of the best fits and styles on the market. And the best part is these stores carry the most beautiful colours and styles in push-ups as well as basic beige (harder to find than you think) for those sheer or white tops that need a neutral| yet sexy undergarment.

Smooth it out
Forget your grandmother's girdle. Those styles are long gone. The new terminology is body shaper which just sounds much more civilized. I think I own every brand available on the market. I discovered their benefits on shoots. Clothing sometimes just sits and falls better when you have clean lines. My top faves would have to be Nancy Ganz| flexees| and Spanx which are all usually available at major department stores. And| all the yummy mummies I know have raved about the maternity selections offered by Spanx.

Ladies| say good-bye to panty lines! And get ready to walk the runway of your real life with confidence.
