Makeup for Play

6 Makeup Tips for Play

Taking the kids for a play date in the park doesn't require three shades of eye shadow, false lashes and contour powder -- but you already know that. If you've got five minutes though, you can look fresh and bright, like you know how to play too.

Tap creamy concealer into skin under your eyes and at the inner corners of the upper lid. It instantly brightens the colour of your eyes.

Even out skin tone and set concealer with a quick application of loose powder if you have oily skin, or mineral foundation if your skin is normal to dry.

Playful can be simple when it comes to makeup: line just your upper lashlines using an angle brush and coloured eye shadow with a hint of shimmer. Choose a shade that makes eyes really pop. For blue eyes, go with bronze or shimmery chocolate. For green eyes, violet or purple will do the brightening trick. Brown eyes like those shades too, or navy or emerald green. Hazel eyes do well with dark green, and with purple, which will make them appear more green.

Curl your lashes -- it makes eyes look bigger and more awake -- and apply black mascara.

Swirl powder blush in a rosy pink shade over the apples of cheeks and finish with an upsweep toward temples. Blush adds life to your complexion and sparkle to your eyes.

Finish with a lip gloss two shades deeper than your natural lip colour. Watermelon shades are universally flattering and go with everything.
