Turn basic chocolate chip cookies into Halloween treats, by doing the following:
Drop basic chocolate chip cookie dough onto a cookie sheet, about 3 inches apart.
When portioning out the dough onto a cookie sheet, press orange and dark brown chocolate-coated candies (such as M&Ms) into the dough.
Push a lollipop stick [1] (found at craft or cooking stores) into the dough, parallel to the pan. Make sure that the stick is pushed up into the centre of the cookie and that it is completely covered by the dough. You need to have the cookies far enough apart, so that the sticks don't bake into the cookie underneath them. I can fit about nine cookies per pan.
Bake the cookies according to the recipe directions.
Allow the cookies to cool on the pan, before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
When the cookies are cooled, wrap up with fun plastic sleeves and attach a Halloween message!
