Roast Beef Recipe For Daddy

And Yorkshire Pudding

For Father’s Day, treat your dad with the best roast beef he’ll ever have, with this easy and delicious recipe. It’s so easy and quick to make that you’ll even have time to prepare the Yorkshire Puddings.

Ingredients:

750 g (1 1/2 lb) of beef filet
1/2 cup (125 ml) Old Style Dijon Mustard
1/2 cup (125 ml) of fresh thym
e
2 tablespoon (30 ml) of olive oil

Salt and pepper
1 cup (250 ml) of red wine

2 shallots cut in sections 
 

  Preheat the oven at 450 °F.

  In a bowl, mix the mustard, the thyme, the olive oil, the salt & pepper.

  Put the beef filet on an oven dish and cover it all with the mustard mixture. Place the shallots around the meat and add enough red wine to cover the bottom of the pan.

  First cook for 15 minutes at 450 °F.

  Then, lower the temperature to 350 °F, and cook another 15 minutes.

  Take your roast beef out of the oven and let it sit for another 15 minutes, before cutting the meat.

Yorkshire Pudding

 

Ingredients:

4 eggs

1/2 cup (125 ml) of milk
1/2 cup (125 ml) of flour

A pinch of salt
1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
 

  Preheat the oven at 450 °F.

  Beat the eggs, add the milk, and let it sit for 15 minutes.

  Incorporate the flour, the salt and beat again.

  Make sure to oil thoroughly a 12-unit muffin pan and place in the oven for about 20 minutes.

  Take the pan out of the oven and add the pudding mixture into each unit, at about 2/3 full.

  Bake for about 20 minutes.
