EXPANDED RECALL: PC Organics Baby Food Pouches

RECALL POSTED February 9, 2017 (Expanded from Apple, Blueberry & Green Pea RECALL POSTED February 3, 2017):

From the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA):

Loblaw Companies Limited is expanding the recall issued February 3 to include additional products, which may have been sold at stores up to and including February 8, 2017. Products may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum which can cause botulism.

Consumers should not consume the recalled product described. The recall suggests to check to see if you have recalled product in your home and the product should be thrown out or returned to the store where it was purchased.

Food contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, blurred or double vision, dry mouth, respiratory failure and paralysis. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
