RECALL: Old Dutch brand Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato Chips

RECALL POSTED December 2016: 

From the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA):

Old Dutch Foods Ltd is recalling their Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato Chips from the marketplace due to possible salmonella contamination. There have been no reported illnesses in Canada; this recall was triggered by a recall in another country.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.

Consumers should not eat the recalled products. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency recommends throwing them out or returning them to the store where they were purchased.

The affected products and UPC codes are: 

• Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato Chips (66g) - UPC: 0 66343 17941 4 - Best Before 2016 AU 10 through Best Before 2017 FE 24 inclusive
• Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato Chips (255g) - UPC: 0 66343 16783 1 - Best Before 2016 AU 10 through Best Before 2017 MR 02 inclusive

Products above with the UPCs and best-before dates listed should be disposed of or returned to the place of purchase. Food that is contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled, but it can still make you sick. If you or someone in your home has consumed the product and feel ill, call your doctor.
