Demystifying RESPs: It’s Not As Hard As You May Think

Mommy-Brain Proof Education Planning

Everything You Need To Know About RESP's

#YMCCommunity member, Heather Van Mil thought RESPs would be complicated to purchase and was confused as to what you can use one for. She did her research and learned how easy buying one can actually be and also learned about the non-traditional education options available and how an RESP can be put towards many other things as well.

Life, Love and the Pursuit of Play

Before we had our two girls, my hubby and I explored and debated extensively about circumcision, breast vs. bottle feeding, the best day cares and preschools, when to have THAT discussion with our children. Everything is a well thought out, carefully considered choice. However I do seem to have one glaring blind spot.

I reluctantly admit that I am like an ostrich with my head in the sand when it comes to RESPs.

I found myself pregnant with my first child and after months and months of bedrest and illness, I finally found the energy to get dressed and get out of the house to attend a baby show, only to be bombarded by people trying to sell me on a savings plan for my precious baby that didn’t even have a gender or name yet, let alone a financial future. Once I gave them my personal information, they proceeded to call and email me to invite themselves into my home so they could continue with their sales pitch.

Given this experience, I am so glad I found a much better way to buy RESPs!
