Host an at-home Halloween Party
The best way to “control” Halloween is to do it in your already-safe home environment. Invite some of your child’s friends to come sit around your kitchen table and “feel” their way through you haunted house (also called a blind haunted house)!
Peeled grapes in a bowl are eyeballs.
Cooked spaghetti with a bit of oil feels like intestines.
Cauliflower feels like brains.

Relish feels like squishy snot.

Scavenger Hunt Halloween
Have the kids follow notes from room to room in a scavenger hunt. Dollar store Halloween-themed items can be your treasures…skulls, pumpkins, ghosts, witches’ hats, etc…
