MixIt customizable cereal blends are my new favourite way to get a healthy start each day. On the MixIt website, you can whip up your own creation by selecting from among seventy different ingredients including quinoa, rice, corn, hemp, oats, nuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruit and much more to create your perfect breakfast blend. The mixtures come shipped to your door in snazzy tubes that are also perfect for gifting. Whether you’re looking for a new gluten-free cereal, or want something that’s low in sugar or high in fibre, you can click and create it thanks to MixIt, or you can simply order one of their delicious ready-made mixes, which have also been a big hit at our house.

iPhone covers are my shopping weakness. I have a tendency towards chronic clumsiness (I am not allowed to handle any completed Lego projects) and have definitely experienced several near-misses with my cell phones over the years. Luckily they don't have to be boring black nondescript ones anymore, and you can cater your case to reflect you. Me? I like tosing. I'm an alto (lowest female register) and so when I saw this case, it went immediately onto the "want" list.
Ever since my kids were little, I’ve always tried to expose them to music. Not crappy sippy cup singalong bullshit—real music. Of course one of the things that happens when you become, y’know, an adult, is that you end up ditching your 12 speaker Stonehenge of Sound because that’s what people with children do, they stop having fun. Then I started to feel guilty that my kids were learning about Michael Jackson, Thom Yorke, and Adam Yauch on awful bluetooth speakers that made it sound like they were performing through a Wal-Mart intercom. Yes this was an act of pure altruism. Tinny, low-quality sound maybe be passable for a grocery store aisle T-Swift dance party, but not my living room.
So recently I bought the Sonos Play:5. Not only does it sound incredible, but it solves the eternal dilemma of elegant adult living space vs. frat house filled with speaker wire. The Play: 5 looks great, sounds amazing, and has only a single wire. Now living room dance parties can go on without regret.
