Every week we find the best eclectic products and services around. Each review is clearly marked, letting you know if we bought it ourselves, want it real bad, or were given it for free. With Love it, Want it, Got it!, you'll always know you're getting an honest review.
Sometimes in life, it's the little things. Such is the case with this workhorse of a paint pen.
I've used mine to add details to my little paintings, sign my bigger works of art, decorate painted furniture, and create crafts with my daughter. I've even used it in a pinch when I wrote the wrong date on a cheque and couldn't find my Liquid Paper.
It's easy to use, doesn't leak all over the place, shows up beautifully on dark surfaces and - because it's water-based - won't let off any nasty fumes.
Iceland has been a bucket list item for me for many years now, and it's a pretty popular destination in general lately. A lot of people tend to go in the summer, but I want to spend a week or two exploring in the darkest part of the winter when the night can be about 20 hours long. High on my to-do list is checking out the ice caves and glaciers before we lose them to the ravages of climate change, seeing the northern lights, doing some partying in Reykjavik, and also perhaps learning some astrophotography.
I am one of those people who hates body hair - not on other people, but definitely on me. So when a half price sale popped up on Laser Hair Removal I jumped at trying it. I signed up for bikini and underarm - and the hope that maybe one of my kids won't need the money for university later. Of the 100 caveats they will give you, it only works on dark hair (not blonde or red), they only 'guarantee' 70% removal, and the lighter the skin the better. Oh, and it hurts like a SOB. A year after completion, I am not hairless, but I can say I am happy I did it. Rather than having to shave my underarms daily, I check every few days and I pluck a stray hair or six. Bikini even less. I never have stubble anymore and if I do totally forget to check for a week, you'd have to be an 3 inches from my arm pit or bikini to notice... of course if you are *that*close to me we have other issues to discuss.
