How To Freeze Pancakes

My kids (and husband) LOVE pancakes. Often on Saturday mornings you can find me whipping up a batch big enough to feed our family and to have a few leftover to toss into the freezer for a quick and easy weekday breakfast.

Simply choose your family's favourite pancake recipe and cook a few extra. When the extra pancakes are completely cool, stack one of top of each other with a piece of wax paper between each and then place in freezer bag and freeze. Alternatively, you can flash freeze the pancakes in a single layer on a cookie sheet (approx. 15-20 minutes) then place in freezer bag and freeze (no need for wax paper).

When ready to use your freezer pancakes, just pull out the desired amount and toast them in your toaster until defrosted.

Enjoy!
