Your Pregnancy Week 32

Predicting The Sex Of Your Baby

by: YMC
Your Pregnancy Week 32

Your lazy little baby sleeps approximately 90 to 95 percent of the day now. At this point in their development, brain scans show that babies have the ability to dream when they are sleeping. We wonder what babies dream about…? Do they simply dream about swimming, swallowing amniotic fluid and hiccupping…? Or getting to stretch out, finally?

You see, that little rascal is about as big as a pineapple, weighing 4 lbs. and measuring 18 inches long from head to toe. Since there isn't much space left in your uterus, you're probably feeling more of a tapping sensation than those familiar big rolling motions in your belly. But the big news is, around this time, your baby is moving into the position to prepare for birth. If he hasn’t flipped yet, he will soon.

As for you, everyone likes to give pregnant women advice and now is when people will try to predict the sex of your baby. Don't be surprised if someone you've never met stops you at the supermarket, offering a gender prophecy. Even though the old wives' tales are far from foolproof, they can be more entertaining than their more reliable successors - amniocentesis and ultrasound.

It's a boy if:

You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy

Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute

You are carrying all of the weight in front and low

  Your areola have darkened considerably

You are craving salty or sour foods and protein

Your hands and feet are colder than they were before getting pregnant

The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy

  Your skin is very dry

Your pillow faces north when you sleep

  Dad-to-be is gaining weight too

Pregnancy has you looking better than ever

Your urine is a bright yellow in colour

If you hang your wedding ring over your belly, it moves in circles

  You are having headaches

You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived the number is even

It's a girl if:

You had morning sickness early in pregnancy

Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute

You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear

Your left breast is larger than your right breast

Your hair gets reddish highlights (without going to your colourist)

You are carrying high and long

You crave sweets, fruit, orange juice

You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy

You are moodier than usual during pregnancy

Your skin breaks out more than usual

You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread

Your pillow faces south when you sleep

Your urine is a dull yellow in colour

If you hang your wedding ring over your belly, it moves from side to side

If you add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived the number is odd

There is also a quiz to determine the sex of the baby.
