I'm pregnant! Who would have thought? We weren't even trying. WOW! This is nuts!

How do I tell my husband? Will he be happy? How do I announce it to my parents?

All these thoughts filled my head. There were tears of fear and tears of joy. I was overcome with emotions. I didn't sleep for the first two nights, but kept avoiding my husband (we'll call him J), because I was afraid I couldn't hold in the "secret."

Father's Day was coming up, so I thought it would have been the perfect time to tell J. I mean, even though he's not a father yet, what better day to tell him that this same time next year he will actually be a father?

It was a week away! Two days passed and I realized I couldn't bear to hold it in any longer.

I bought him my favourite book growing up, I Love You Forever, by Robert Munsch, and I wrote inside it: "I love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be. You + Me + ?"

After he read this he looked at me blankly, and then this amazing smile took up his entire face. I start crying, because I'm going through horrible mood swings and was afraid that he wasn't going to be happy, but he was ecstatic! :)

We stay up all night thinking about how insanely crazy this is and how we're terrified, because we know nothing about raising children.

Father's Day rolls around and I thought of a cute way to tell my parents that I'm pregnant. I got a little picture frame and inside it I wrote: "COMING SOON." My dad read it and didn't get it right away, but as soon as my mom read it, she started crying and crying and then I look over at my dad and he's crying, too!

I'm so happy that everyone I love knows the big news! Now being pregnant is settling in a little more.

Next  stepannouncing the big news to work! Wonder how that'll go.

Mom to be!
