5 Easy Steps For Great Morning-Sickness Makeup

How To Not Look Like You're Suffering

Safely in my second trimester the days of morning sickness are behind me—thank god—but during those times of feeling horrible life still went on as usual. Meetings, events, day to day errands required this sick mama to-be to put at least a little effort into looking presentable!

The last thing you want when trying to keep your breakfast down is to spend a ton of time getting ready, especially applying makeup. Here are some quick tips on how you can get your face "on" in just 5 minutes (or less depending on how sick you're feeling).

Start with a good lightweight moisturizer. Morning sickness can totally take a toll on your skin so a good base is important.

Apply a 2-in-1 concealer/foundation product such as Vasanti's Liquid CoverUp Foundation to areas that need concealing. No need to cover your whole face, for me it was under eyes and those lovely broken blood vessels that being sick caused.

Apply a lightweight powder like MAC #39;s Mineralized Skinfinish powder to the T zone, that will help keep shine at bay, especially in this summer heat!

Sweep 1-2 coats of your favourite mascara on your lashes. Be sure to choose a waterproof kind like CoverGirl's Waterproof LashBlast because if you get sick after you have applied mascara you may look like some sort of zombie.

End with your favourite gloss or balm for some colour and you're ready to go!

Remember: staying hydrated especially during the summer months will help your skin from drying out.

These five easy steps will keep you looking great even when you feel like running to the bathroom!
