Love Your Body with Valentine's Day Heart Fashion

Love your body with the symbol of love

I love hearts. I love everything about them. They are the thing that I doodle most when I have a pen in hand. I sign my name with a heart at the end of it. I find I'm often drawn to objects that are shaped into hearts everywhere I go. So it's no wonder that when I saw this heart-patterned top while shopping recently, I just had to have it!

Typically, my wardrobe consists of mainly black. It wasn't always that way, but since having had three kids in four years and gaining and losing, gaining and losing and gaining weight again, I find that black does my body good. As I've struggled to figure out my "place" in the fashion world — not an average size but not quite plus sized either — I've found myself shedding countless tears in the fitting rooms when shopping.

Oh you thought only teenage girls did that? Well, newsflash, so do momma's after they've had kids. Ok, to be fair, maybe not ALL momma's out there cry when they try on potential outfits, but this momma sure does. It really has been a struggle to find clothing that not only fits but is fashionable and reflects my personality and isn't always BLACK!

Well recently, I discovered that a few of my favorite clothing stores have started plus size lines. These are stores that are typically known for having rather small fitting regular clothing, so I feel like their plus size section is really more like a plus size "junior" section. And in that section of the store, there are no tears to be found! The fashions shown here were available at H&M and Forever21.

As I said, I don't typically gravitate far from my trusted black attire. And as you will notice, everything else I am wearing is in fact black. So I thought I would take a chance with this light pink shirt, mainly because of those amazing hearts plastered all over it!

It's been a success venturing out from my normal black! The soft pink is really feminine and a nice contrast to the black vest. Not being fully in love with all the curves of my body at the moment, I find that by adding this vest, it really helps slim down the sides and the behind to keep this look very flattering and figure-friendly. Put on some knee-high riding boots and a long gold tassel necklace and you will be the fiercest momma on the town!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, why not celebrate it in style with fun and flirty tops to match the day!
