Sweet Spiced Squash

A Tasty, Heart Healthy Choice For Your Family

The spicy notes in this dish marry well with skinless chicken, turkey or lean pork loin. Using Becel margarine also helps limit the saturated fat content, making this a good heart healthy choice for your family.

Ingredients:

1 medium acorn squash
1/2 tsp 2 mL cinnamon
1/2 tsp 2 mL nutmeg
1 tbsp 15 mL golden brown sugar
1 tbsp 15 mL Becel® Buttery Taste* margarine

Preheat oven to 425° F (220° C). Cut squash in half using a large sharp knife, and scoop out seeds. In a small bowl combine cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and Becel® Buttery Taste margarine.
