Many commercial dips for veggies or crackers at the store have dairy in them, but this one is completely dairy free and the only appliance you need to make it is a blender or food processor. I love making my own dips because it’s generally cheaper than buying them and you know exactly what is in each and every one. My teenager loved taste testing this one, literally using his finger to get every last bit of dip from the container and exclaiming, "it tastes like hummus!"
Ingredients:
1/2 cup tahini
2 Tbsp - 1/4 cup lemon juice, to taste
1/2 cup water
2 tsp low sodium soy sauce
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
Measure everything into a blender or food processor and mix up well until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasonings, adding more lemon juice or salt and pepper if you need to. Serve with crackers or veggies.
Makes 1 1/2 cups
