Before and After: Watch This Mom Go From Mom to Wow

Trying Times #MomWow Winner Jenn Gets Spoiled At Civello Salon

Before and After: Watch This Mom Go From Mom to Wow

A while back I sent 3 lucky mummies to Civello Queen St. Salon and Spa for a lesson in pampering and putting yourself first. Each mama got spoiled head to toe with manicures, pedicures, massages, facials, hair cuts, colours, and full make up; but only one lucky lady got to have her story featured on a webisode of Trying Times.

Today, I’m thrilled to share the behind the scenes story of our grand prize winner Jenn as she enjoys her spa day experience and gets immersed in total relaxation and revamping.

Check out her before and after as she goes from naturally beautiful (understatement) but exhausted mummy who puts her 2 kids and family at the center of all she does; to a poised, rejuvenated, glam mummy ready for a night out on the town.

Talk about going from Mom to Wow.

I think my favourite part has to be watching her posture relax and the sparkle jump back into her eyes as she gets her make up done — and the fall/winter line of Heart Lands makeup from Aveda Canada has the most sumptuous palette. Seriously. They’re the kinds of colours that make you want to glide instead of walk (I’m looking at you, Redwood), and Jenn brings them to life on the screen like a classic film siren. So. Gorgeous.

A huge thank you to Dylan Sit, Veronica Valdes, and the entire Civello team for working with me to bring a little #momwow into the lives of some incredibly deserving ladies.

If you’re ready to book your own Mom to Wow Me-Time, look no further than Civello. With 4 locations in the GTA, it’s the perfect place to indulge in some urban pampering, plus they’re kid and dog friendly, and have incredible staff. I've actually called my Civello colourist Ashleigh Stapleton from out of town for advice when I needed a super-timely solution to post-baby hair thinning and loss. Seriously. They just... get it. And they go the extra mile to make moms feels special.

Let’s just say that on a good day you’ll find me in one of their stylist’s seats, basking in the glory of all their insanely good smelling products. (Hello, Stress-fix...)

Which reminds me. The first step to going from mom to wow no matter how you choose to pamper yourself — whether it’s with a manicure, or just by taking 5 minutes for yourself — is to breathe.

Put the word 'mom' back in 'moment', and remember to celebrate everything you do.

You deserve it!

Stay Positive,

XO Kat
