47 Resources for Help Feeding Your Picky Eater

Help_for_picky_eaters

With so much nutrition information out there, it's hard to know who and what to trust. When it comes to feeding kids and picky eating issues, you want to make sure you're reading evidence-based information from credible sources. Because kids nutrition can be confusing and dealing with fussy feeders and picky eaters can be overwhelming (I know this first hand!), I've come up with a list of blogs, books, and Facebook pages that I personally follow, from experts that I admire and trust. Enjoy!

Blogs and websites

Raise Healthy Eaters

Maryann Jacobsen, MS, RD

Whether its nutrition, picky eating, hot health topics, or cooking up nutritious meals, Maryann knows how complicated and stressful feeding a family can be. She believes a “happy table” is available to anyone who is willing to approach food, feeding and health from a place of enjoyment.

Just the Right Byte

Jill Castle, MS, RD

Jill believes it’s not just about WHAT kids eat — it’s also about HOW we feed them and WHY they behave the way they do (often predictable and expected) around food. This What, How, and Why of nutrition and feeding is the trifecta of childhood nutrition.

The Non-Diet Dietitian

Sarah Remmer, RD

My Yummy Mummy Club blog, "The Non-Diet Dietitian" focuses largely on picky eating, mealtime dynamics and feeding issues between parents and young kids (toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged kids). I also post healthy and easy recipes for busy families and posts on nutrition for a healthy pregnancy, nutrition for healthy weight loss and starting solids. Because I'm a Mom of two young kids (and one on the way), I know personally how challenging feeding can be. This is why I post relevant, practical and realistic tips and advice for Moms in the trenches.
