Vintage Decor Finds and DIY Message Board

My Cityline Debut

I have watched Cityline forever and have always loved the décor and DIY segments. So the fact that I was on there today totally blows my mind. I can’t even tell you how great it feels to be given such an amazing opportunity to do something I am so passionate about. This has been a dream of mine forever. Honestly, forever. And now it was happening, which was beyond exciting but also totally nerve wracking!

I had been on before as the first Cityline Blogger of the Month, which was super exciting. But this time I would be coming on with my own segment. Yikes!

Thankfully, producer Kate Moore wanted me to talk about something I love, vintage décor. It’s {kind of} easy to talk about what you love. I brought in all of the pretty pieces I bought on when on holiday in Nova Scotia. I wanted to share why I love vintage accessories and how you can use them in your home.

I was so excited to get a chance to show off my DIY skills on this frame that I found for a steal in one of my favourite vintage shops in Nova Scotia.

I worked some magic and turned it into a magnetic message board and I am really happy with how it turned out! Can you tell?

Want to see how to make one yourself? Watch here!

My super talented friend, Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault worked some glue gun magic on vintage earrings, broaches and clothes pins to make magnets to go on the message board.

Thank you so much to Kate, Leigh-Ann, gorgeous and generous host, Tracy Moore and all of the Cityline team for letting this east coast girl with a passion for pretty, live out a dream.....including Wendy, who knocked my message board off the wall. Hahaha!
